Some SocialMediaAZ.org Videos Posted & Planning Next SMAZ Event

by Fred von Graf on October 19, 2009

It’s getting exciting around here with the planning for the next SMAZ event starting.  We have a serious need for some help with the web site for SMAZ but I have no doubt we’ll find the right people to help us this next week.

Now the really exciting thing is that we’re posting some of the videos from the last Social Media for Business Event, along with the slides and materials.  Huge thanks to Michelle Conlon and Paradox productions for the Theater 1 videos and awesome intro to the videos and another Huge thanks to Clay Stubblefield and Metro Studios for the Theater 2 videos.  Here are a few of the videos we’ve got posted so far:

Al Maag (Chief Communications Officer for Avent, Inc.) giving a keynote on Introducing Social Media to the C-Suite. Here’s a link to the presentation:

C. Edward Brice (Senior Vice President of Marketing for Lumension, Inc.) giving a keynote on Social Media ROI. Here’s a link to the presentation:

Mike Corak and Chris Sietsema from Off Madison Ave. present on the Anatomy of a Social Media Plan. Here’s a link to the presentation and template:

Jason Baer from Convince and Convert presented Social Media Strategy in 7 Steps. Here’s a link to the presentation and template:

We are currently talking with some very talented (inter)national Social Media Experts for the next SMAZ and have some of our local favorites coming back from the first SMAZ!  There has also been enormous demand for speaking at the next SMAZ , seems that everyone want to speak there, or knows someone that needs to speak there.  So I was thinking we may have people submit their presentation, a short bio and have people vote on who they want to speak, think SXSW style voting.  Ultimately we will have the say on who speaks but I would like to incorporate social media to help create our social media conference :)  After all this is about sharing the best possible information to help businesses use social media to their fullest, with a sprinkle of networking thrown in; it’s an opportunity to meet and learn from the best and brightest.

More SMAZZY information to follow once we get the date (looking at January 19st or 20th currently) and we get a core team locked in. If you want to help make SMAZ happen and can actually commit to helping, send me an email at Fred at SocialMediaAZ.org

We are looking for help with:
- PR
- Web Development
- A/V support
- Photography
- Videography
- Stage Management
- Registration process
- Sponsors
- Day of event superheros
- and more
