Social Media Interviews

by Fred von Graf on September 25, 2009

I have scheduled a series of video interviews with companies and agencies to discuss their use of Social Media.  An example is my talk with Michelle Gorel the VP of Public Relations for Avnet about their use of Social Media.

Here are some of the general questions I’m asking:

- Who is <insert company name> (opportunity to describe the business)?

- How did you start using Social Media as a company?
- What surprises have you run in to as a result?
- What are your goals for your use of Social Media?
- How do you measuring success in Social Media?
- Are you monitoring conversations today and if so how are you using this information?
- What tools or frameworks do you use for Social Media (Facebooks, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogs, Video, Radian6, in house tools, etc)?
- What are some key learnings you can share for other companies starting to use Social Media?
- Where do you see Social Media taking things in 5 years?
- Anything else you’d like to share?
Looking to talk with industry leaders in the use of Social Media to share their experiences and get an opportunity to get the word out about them.  If you’d like to change the questions or add / remove some it’s not a problem.  Oh keep in mind that the talk will be on video so maybe a shirt with the company logo, or something like that would be appropriate.

- How did you start using Social Media as a company?

- As an agency what services do you offer customers in the realm of Social Media? (for agencies)

- What are some key learnings you can share for other companies starting to use Social Media?

- Where do you see Social Media taking things in 5 years?

- Anything else you’d like to share?

So what other questions would you like the corporations and agencies to answer?  Are there any companies that you think I should talk with?

Post your suggestions in the comments…
